FABULATION: Or, The Re-Education of Undine by Lynn Nottage was my first ever mainstage at Columbia College Chicago. In collaboration with Destiny Garner, we worked to bring life to this show by creating a plot completely from scratch. With the addition of several specials for the main character, and a plethora of lighting instruments both dated and new, and an interesting LED system built into the set, we curated a world for Undine that reflected her isolation, depression, joy, and highlighted her path to re-discovering herself as she takes on this new chapter in life – for herself and her child.

PILLARS OF SALT was my first ever full length production. In the Columbia College Chicago’s Classic Theater, I was given a rep-plot to work with for designing this show, with an additional set of twelve dimmers on top of the ones in use. As it was my first show, I did not change much of the plot nor add much of anything new, aside from floor lighting for the significant fire scene in this show, and some specials for the main character. Although my inexperience made me feel as if I could have done more, I am extremely proud for this to have been my first production!
